(These are the responses written on the flipcharts by participants before going into, or after coming out of the meditation room at the March 2002 24-Hour World Healing Peace Circle in Ann Arbor)
When each of our hearts are filled with the knowing we are one," and love pours out without effort for each other, then there will e peace. A world where the rights of all are protected. Of smiles on every face & joy in every heart, of children of every color playing hand in hand, of women & men sharing & learning & laughing together, of every one taking the Bodhisattva Vow -- "Though suffering is limitless, I will work to end it." Soldiers returning home with nothing but love in their hearts, untainted by crimes against fellow humans. FORGIVENESS [drawing of a heart crying] May everyone feel truly loved. The mind, the heart, and the hand rarely agree, and they often create hate, crime, war, murder and needless bloodshed that can be painful and confusing, but with love, hope, and perseverance we can better comprehend the reasons behind their puzzling nature and our understanding can lead to their end. We will feel the greater meaning and view a larger picture, for with the solution of the puzzle, we will share one peace!! The U.S. government learns to live in peace & love and appreciate differences. Community -- where we can trust our neighbors -- where/when take care of our neighbors (far & near) Like drops of water affect the ocean so thoughts and prayers affect peace. War is an addiction addiction is sickness Let's heal our selves & our leaders and journey in peace.
